Privacy Policy

1001Logistics is a business logistics platform operated by ParsFreight (2651 No 5 Rd, Richmond BC V6X 2S8, Canada). This policy explains what we collect on the 1001Logistics website and iOS app, why we collect it, who processes it, and how you can get your data exported or deleted.

What we collect

Account data. Name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider), your role on the platform (customer, forwarder, operator, worker, employer and similar), and company details you provide such as legal name, business number and address.

Operational data. The records you create while using the marketplace: rate requests and tenders, bids, bookings, shift postings and applications, container tracking numbers you register, and invoices related to your bookings.

Documents. Files you upload (bills of lading, packing lists, invoices, certificates, proof-of-delivery photos) are stored in a private storage bucket and shared only through expiring links with the parties of the related booking.

Assistant data. If you turn on the AI assistant, the messages you type, the photos or image files you attach, the voice notes you record, and any note you ask it to remember. See The AI assistant below for exactly what is sent and to whom.

iOS app permissions

The mobile app asks for each permission only at the moment you use the related feature:

  • Location (while using the app) — to verify you are at the worksite when you clock in or out of a shift. No background location tracking.
  • Camera — to photograph delivery evidence and shipment paperwork on the spot, such as a delivered pallet as proof of delivery or a bill of lading scanned into a container’s file.
  • Photo library — so you can attach a photo you already took to a shipment, shift or booking, such as picking a saved proof-of-delivery photo or a packing list to read into a load plan. We only access the images you pick.
  • Microphone — to record short voice notes on a job and to dictate to the AI assistant instead of typing.
  • Contacts — only when you choose to invite a teammate, worker or driver. Contacts are read at that moment and never uploaded or stored.

You can decline any permission and keep using the rest of the app.

How we use data

We use your data to run the marketplace: matching rate requests with forwarder bids, confirming bookings, verifying shift attendance, showing live vessel schedules and container tracking, providing support, and keeping the platform secure. We do not use your data for advertising.

The AI assistant and third-party AI providers

The AI assistant does not run on your device. To answer you, we send your request to third-party AI companies. Before anything is transmitted, the app shows an AI data notice naming these providers, and nothing is sent to any of them until you explicitly agree. If you decline, no data is sent to any AI provider and the assistant stays off — every other part of 1001Logistics, including shipments, loads, shifts, documents, invoices and payments, keeps working normally. You can turn the assistant off again at any time in Settings → AI assistant.

Once you have agreed, this is exactly what each provider receives:

  • Anthropic (Claude) — the text of your assistant messages, any photo or image file you attach, and a short, request-specific extract of your business records (for example your role, company name, and the one container order or shift you asked about) so it can generate the reply. Anthropic also reads photos you attach, such as a packing list you photographed.
  • OpenAI — the audio of a voice note you record with the microphone button, solely so it can be transcribed into text.
  • Exa — a short search query when the assistant needs a current external fact, such as a duty rate or a terminal address. Your business records are not sent to Exa.

We apply data minimization: only the records relevant to what you asked are included. We do not send your whole account, your full customer list, your driver roster or your complete financial history to any AI provider. Requests are relayed through a secure gateway over encrypted connections, and we do not permit your data to be used to train AI models.

Who processes data

  • Supabase — database, authentication and file storage for accounts, tenders, bookings and documents.
  • Vercel — hosting for this website.
  • Hapag-Lloyd — when you search live vessel schedules, your route query is sent to the carrier’s API.
  • Terminal49 — when you register a container for tracking, its number is sent to the tracking service.
  • AISStream — live vessel positions shown on the map come from public AIS data.
  • Anthropic, OpenAI and Exa — the AI providers described above, used only after you consent.
  • Stripe — processes card payments for the real-world services you buy. Card details are entered on Stripe’s secure page and never stored on our servers or in the app.

Each provider receives only what is needed for its function.

What we never do

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not run third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
  • We do not let AI providers train models on your data, and we send nothing to them without your explicit consent.
  • We do not show your identity to the other side of a tender before a booking is finalized — forwarder names stay hidden from customers until then.

Cookies

We use only the session cookies required to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics tracking cookies on this site.

Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Database access is protected with row-level security so each account can only read the records it is allowed to see. Uploaded documents live in a private bucket and are only reachable through short-lived signed links.

Retention, export and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. The fastest way to delete your account is inside the app: Settings → Account → Delete account — deletion is immediate. You can also request deletion without logging in from the account deletion page, or request a copy of your data by emailing sales@1001logistics.ca from your account email. Email requests are completed within 30 days. Records we must keep for legal, tax or dispute purposes (such as issued invoices) are retained.

Children

1001Logistics is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
